The public is invited to attend our Annual Hike for Hospice on Sunday, May 5th, 2019. This is a community event where the public is invited to participate in a guided historical tour to various areas of our City in memory of a loved one and to raise public awareness of what services Hospice offers within the community.
Hike for Hospice aims to raise much needed funds for hospice palliative care in Canada, but also to raise awareness of the many challenges faced by hospice palliative care and to promote the phenomenal work that all volunteers and professionals in the field perform daily.
Funds raised through the Hike can ensure that more Canadians receive the end-of-life care they wish for. 100% of funds raised stay in the community.
This year the tour will be facilitated by Cathy English, Curator of the Revelstoke Museum and she will be taking us on a historical tour of the older homes along Mackenzie Avenue. Please meet at the Museum located at: 315 West First Street at 1:00 p.m.
